About Sardar Ayurved College & Hospital

Ayurveda means "Ayush Veda"; because of its divine origins it can be called 'Medicine of the Gods'. Ayurveda cures the problem from it's root, not just symptoms. The holistic medicine aims to rejuvenate health by understanding the underlying causes of the diseases. It strives to attack the root causes and detoxifying, cleansing, strengthening body tissues (dhatus) and balancing bodily doshas, ensuring thorough cure.

Sardar Ayurved College & Hospital is one of the well- established Ayurveda colleges in Mehsana, North Gujarat. It was started in the year 2021 at Mehsana-Visnagar Highway, Visnagar, by Merchant Charitable Trust with the intension of spreading Ayurveda to all and Ayurveda Hospital serves the health needs of Mehsana Urban-Rural and neighbouring villages.

Located on Mehsana-Visnagar Highway with state of art facilities, functioning in an aesthetically designed building. This will be the most advanced institution disseminate classical Ayurveda Education, Treatment and Ayurveda Research. The college is under process to get recognisation from the AYUSH Dept. and affiliated to Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar.

Department of Panchakarma

Introduction
  • Panchakarma is the most important branch of Ayurved. It is unique in the sense, that it includes bio-purification methods for preventive and curative action for various diseases. Bio-purification and rejuvenation of the body and mind is done by various Panchakarma procedures.
  • It enhances the digestive strength and improves circulatory system which helps in restoring the vitality of the body. Along with physical level cleansing, it also purifies the mind and soul which results in improvement in sleep pattern and develops healthy satvic eating habits which plays an important role in ultimately eliminating the stress levels. Thus it rebuilds ones immune system in a way and thus helps to prevent the recurrence of disease.

Department of Prasuti-tantra & Stree-Roga

Introduction
  • Stree-roga and Prasuti-tantra is a branch of Ayurved which deals with education of diagnosis, investigation and Ayurvedic treatment in antenatal care, pregnancy related complications, delivery and post delivery care. Stree-roga offers complete Ayurvedic management of all gynecological diseases as well as maintenance of reproductive health.
Vision
  • To spread awareness regarding the Pre-conceptional, conceptional and post-conceptional care incorporated in Ayurved developing the Ayurvedic perspective of fetal medicine care of fetus before fertilization by preparing, monitoring and treating the couple and developing the treatment protocols to address the fetal pathology.
  • Imbibing Garbha-sanskar considering the fetus as a conscious filled biological mass and communicating it by yoga, Pranayama and music therapy to tune it as a perfect future citizen.
Mission
  • Addressing the immunological and infective pathology of genital tract local treatment methods like yonipichu, prakshalana, varti, dhoopana, yoni- purana and abhyanga.
  • To create awareness about timely screening measures in women and thus aiding in early diagnosis of disease.
  • Advocating use of Garbhasthapan formulations and Ayurvedic procedures to prevent miscarriages, recurrent abortions.
  • To educate pregnant females to adapt Ayurvedic Garbhini paricharya focusing on do's and don'ts during their ante-natal period and to facilitate soothika paricharya (post-partum) to rejuvenate mother to normal healthy fit women by providing puerperal care.

Department of Shalakya Tantra

Introduction

Shalakya tantra is the branch of an Ayurved which deals with diagnosis and management of all the diseases related to the organs above the clavicle; viz. Diseases of eyes, ears, nose, throat, head and neck. The department imparts education with the aim of hand to hand training in examination, Technical training in diagnosis and management along with special emphasis on Ayurvedic treatment procedures like Kriya-kalpa, Nasya, Moordha taila, eye exercises, Netra-basti etc along with surgical training in the concerned field.

  • To popularize the treatment of Kriyakalpas like Tarpan , Aaschotana , Anjana , Bidalaka which are Speciality of Netra roga treatment & Nasya , Gandush , Dhoomapana , Karnapooran , Shirodhara Which form the basis of Karna , Nasa and Mukha-roga.
  • To provide best possible patient care with utmost competence in the areas of medical, surgical Para-surgical management, focusing on Ophthalmic, ENT and Oro dental care.
Mission
  • As this department deals with ENT and Eye care which are vital sense organs. So our procedures are meant for strengthening these information input sites as well as to treat and prevent diseases originating here.
  • Educate common people to inculcate in their daily regimen Anjana, Lepa, Nasya, Netra-tarpana to safeguard these sensory organs.
  • Propagate regular practice of Nasya, which not only helps in restricting the entry at primary level, but as well as acts as a channel to reach the primary centre of all organs in the brain.
  • To propagate painless tooth-extraction by Jalandhara bandha yoga technique which is an unique, without anesthesia procedure.
  • To spread awareness regarding highly effective Ayurvedic procedures namely Karna-poorana, Karna-dhoopan, Karna-prakshalana, Gandoosha and Kavala needs to be done.
 

Department of Shalya Tantra

Introduction

Department of Shalya Tantra (surgery) is one of the clinical departments that teaches and trains students of final B.A.M.S. course about the basics of surgery and para-surgical aspects given in Ayurveda as well as modern concepts at their level. The main focus of study is to get aware the students regarding the fundamental of surgical diseases, various disability and deformity, trauma, fractures, congenital and acquired illnesses etc.

Vision
  • To focus the approach of students towards various modern tools, techniques of investigation and latest ultra-modern information regarding the general surgical procedures and also by minimal access techniques like laparoscopy, endoscopy, ERCP, cystoscopy, colonoscopy etc.
  • To impart strict discipline and management protocol of operation theatre and live demonstration and in-hand practical training of human anatomy during operation.
  • To give knowledge of ancient principles of Shalya-tantra in Ayurved with regard to surgical and para-surgical concept of diseases, their treatment and approach towards betterment of patients is taught during their course.
